UC Irvine Chemical Recycling Program

Laboratories that are conducting research dispose of many unopened hazardous chemical materials as hazardous waste each year. These may be:

  • Surplus products
  • Part of a process they are no longer using
  • Unusable materials due to a lab move or shut down

In order to minimize waste disposal and make good use of valuable chemicals, EH&S has started a chemical recycling program. This is a FREE service offered to the UCI campus community.
